Introducing How to Pick the Best AI Tools for Your Law Practice CLE

Today I’d like to introduce my new on-demand CLE, How to Pick the Best AI Tools for Your Law Practice. It’s a practical two-hour CLE that walks you through how lawyers can responsibly and confidently select AI tools. The CLE is currently accredited in Illinois and Oregon for 2 credit hours. Accreditation is pending in additional jurisdictions. When the CLE is accredited in additional jurisdictions, I will update this page.     

Who is this CLE for? 

This CLE is for lawyers who would like to figure out how they can use AI in their law practices. There are hundreds of AI tool options on the market for lawyers, and the AI tools that will be most impactful to your unique practice will depend on your technology improvement priorities, your existing technology ecosystem, and the technology culture at your organization. A clear, step-by-step process is necessary to select the right AI tools and avoid the wrong ones. This CLE will lay out that step-by-step process, so you are empowered to identify and implement the best AI tools for your law practice.  

What will I learn from this CLE? 

This CLE will teach you: 

• Why AI competency is now essential for lawyers 
• What prerequisites you should complete before using AI tools in your law practice 
• How to evaluate AI’s strengths, weaknesses, and benchmarking data 
• How to identify your unique technology improvement priorities 
• How to assess potential AI tool solutions 
• How to implement and govern your selected AI tool(s)

No, this CLE does not endorse or promote any specific AI tool, and I am not financially affiliated with any AI tool referenced in the CLE.  

What if I don’t practice in Illinois or Oregon? Can I still get CLE credit if I watch this CLE? 

As mentioned above, accreditation is pending in additional jurisdictions, and I will update this page as the CLE is accredited elsewhere. If you would like to request that I prioritize accreditation in your state, please send me an email at [email protected].    

Additionally, some states allow lawyers to receive CLE credit for CLE programs that are accredited in another jurisdiction. Please check with your bar association or state court CLE administrator to confirm whether this option is available to you.
